Sri Lanka business delegation visits Dhaka to boost bilateral trade
In a measure to boost trade relations between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) has organized a tour for a Sri Lankan business delegation to visit Dhaka.
Accordingly, a group of Sri Lankan businessmen from 11 local businesses has left the country to participate in an international trade exhibition in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.
Chairman of the NCCSL, Asoka Hettigoda has told the national radio the main objective of the visit is to create opportunities to supply Sri Lankan goods to the Bangladeshi market.
The NCCS, has said that possibilities of exporting goods produced in Bangladesh through Sri Lanka will also be explored.
According to the Chairman, the SLNCC is organizing similar business tours aiming to introduce new potential markets in the sub-continent to the Sri Lankan entrepreneurs. A group of Sri Lankan businessmen has recently visited Vietnam and the Bangladesh visit is regarded as a continuation of this aim.
